Thermal Imaging is the technology that uses the slight differentiation of temperatures to image different surfaces. When most building materials get wet they begin to evaporate the water in them and then cool the surfaces. Thermal imaging can detect these temperature differences and image them for a visual representation of the moisture in these substrates. This means DRT’s clients can actually see their homes and businesses drying right before their eyes.
The Thermal images can be stored on computer medium or printed in a report format to complete the documentation and certify that wet substrates have become dry.
